- Four times harder -

Dear friends,

One of the most prominent Founding Fathers of the USA was Benjamin Franklin. Apart from a politician, Franklin was active as a writer, scientist, inventor, diplomat, printer, publisher, and philosopher. He was definitely among the leading intellectuals of his time, which is significant as the USA back then did not have the clout that it has today.

Franklin delivered many studies of electricity and was also known for charting and naming the Gulf Stream current. As an inventor, he is known for the lightning rod, bifocals, and the Franklin stove, among others. While none of these inventions are directly intersecting with Spanish Real Estate, we would like to highlight one of his famous quotes and its importance for investors. Franklin once said the following: “It would be a hard government that should tax its people one-tenth part of their income.”

Let’s think about that for a second. Franklin was a politician and he thought that a 10% tax burden is onerous. Imagine what we would have thought if he lived today and saw that most countries are taxing their citizens at more or less 40%. That’s four times more than what he considered hard! Further, these taxes at 40% are on top of VAT and other taxes, which can easily take away another 20% of a person’s income. Franklin would surely think that such high taxes are worth a revolution today!

At Artemis Assets we agree but we are advocating a peaceful revolution. We want investors to overthrow their old habits and establish a new way of thinking. We want investors to stop thinking about their salary, which the government will tax at approximately 40% whatever they do. We want investors to think about their assets, which will be taxed at less than 10%. With Spanish Real Estate investments it is possible and easy. Just like Franklin wanted.

Please get in touch with us if you want to have an income stream which is taxed at less than 10%. The government does not need to be so hard on you and we have the track record to show you how it’s done.

Until the next one!

What lead us to one more huge bank failure? The said bank had taken a lot of deposits fast and invested in low yield instruments. The managers decided to give out a lot of mortgages at low rates, sometimes 2%-3% below the market. The regulators were caught sleeping on the wheel, doing nothing for more than a year after problems were first reported. Very basic stuff, but still nobody did anything to fix the problem. We may sound like a broken radio, but at Artemis Assets it is our duty to remind you. This cannot happen in Real Estate, where you are the owner and you safekeep your own property.

We have identified Spanish Real Estate as a safe and profitable investment, where your cash can be made to work hard for you. We have a track record of property investments that yield more than 15% per year, which are not only protected from inflation but actually benefit from it. The best part is you don’t have to manage them, Artemis can do that job for you. And if you fancy a trip to Spain you can even stay in your investments!

We quote the Guardian: “…the boom in early retirement could suggest a growing number of over-50s feel financially secure enough to quit work. After years of rapid house price growth, for those lucky enough to have paid down a mortgage, quitting the rat race makes perfect sense. Surveys from the ONS (our note: Office for National Statistics) show most 50- to 65-year-olds who have left work since the pandemic own their homes outright and are more likely to be debt free”. Do we need to say more?

During the course of 2022 there was a name that was frequently in the front pages of financial press. A person who in regular intervals made headlines, loved by some and hated by others, and who concentrated in his name the love and envy of a whole nation. No, we are not talking about Vladimir Putin. The focus of today’s post is Gautam Adani. Most of you will ask, Gautam who?
